Serena Williams has delivered off the court — by giving birth to a baby girl!

The tennis legend, who is in a Florida hospital with fiancé Alexis Ohanian, welcomed their new daughter who weighed in at 6 pounds, 13 ounces. The birth was confirmed by her tennis coach Patrick Mouratoglou who posted the announcement on his Twitter account.

“Congratulations @SerenaWilliams for your baby girl. I am so happy for you and I feel your emotion. Recover well & enjoy without limitation,” said Mouratoglou.

Public well wished were also made by Serena’s sister Venus Williams during an interview with ESPN before her US Open match, as well as close friend Beyoncé, already a mother of three, on Instagram.

The US Open also congratulated Williams via their Office Twitter page “@serenawilliams won a new title on Day 5 at the #USOpen: Mom.”

The tennis legend publicly announced her pregnancy in April on Snapchat by posting a photo of her then 20-week baby bump! The couple claimed they had no knowledge of the baby’s gender before its arrival, but suspected it would be a girl.

The name of the baby has yet to be released, but Williams has said she plans to return to the court to compete in 2018.
