Rob Shuter reports… “Sex and the City” star Cynthia Nixon wants New Yorkers to trust her to be their governor, but it seems she doesn’t trust her voters!
The longtime actress — who found fame on the hit cable show as attorney Miranda Hobbes — launched her campaign for governor of New York with a fundraiser at the gay landmark The Stonewall Inn.
But, revealed a spy, Cynthia insisted on locking her purse away in the manager’s office!
“No one else needed extra security inside the event to protect their belongings,” a tipster told The National ENQUIRER.
And, in a reference to Sarah Jessica Parker’s “SATC” character, the insider added: “It wasn’t even like it was a fabulous Carrie Bradshaw-type purse!”
