Cher is desperately begging her transgender son, Chaz Bono, to find a wife!

The 69-year-old superstar — who is battling a killer virus and emotional stress — is fading fast, fear her friends.

“Cher’s last wish is for Chaz to find real love and happiness,” said a source.

“She blames herself for much of the agony Chaz has endured as he changed gender. It was a really tough thing for Cher to deal with and she wasn’t very supportive.

“But as she faces her final days, all she wants is to see him happily married!”

Cher’s dramatic plea came as Chaz, 46, made the shocking confession that he’s striking out in his bid to find a permanent partner — or even a date.

“I seem to repel women that I am attracted to,” admitted Chaz, who wears guy’s clothing and sports a full beard after hormone replacement therapy.

“I have been single for four years.

“I haven’t really been dating. I do think women have a different idea when you ask them out for a date than what it actually is.”

And when Chaz finally met a drag queen that he was ready to marry, The ENQUIRER reported that his horrified mom freaked out!

Chaz said he asks out women that he finds “interesting” and would like to get to know better.

“But I think they think it is more than that somehow,” he added.

Although he was born female and spent his childhood as Chastity Bono, the daughter of rock icons Sonny and Cher, he admitted, “I don’t have any insight into women. I have always been in a male mentality.”

However, he did live for years as a lesbian.

When Chastity transitioned from female to male between 2008 and 2010, she was with Jennifer Elia. They became engaged in 2009 and planned to wed in 2012.

Sadly, they split in December 2011.

“Chaz has been alone ever since,” says a source. “But Cher is determined to see him wed before she dies!”

The Oscar-winner recently flew to Germany to secretly undergo a “miracle” treatment for her illness in a last-ditch bid to cheat death, sources revealed.

“Cher announced she’d gone overseas for a holistic remedy but the truth was she was seeking stem cell treatment not available in the U.S.,” said an insider.
