Desperate for a comeback, Demi Moore has scored a recurring role on FOX’s “Empire” — a move that insiders see as a last-ditch effort to reverse the tempestuous diva’s tumble from the A-list to the D-list.
Since her ‘80s heyday, Demi has suffered a series of professional flops, and after her 2011 split from actor-husband Ashton Kutcher, her personal life has grabbed more headlines than her films.
“It’s hard for people to take her seriously. She comes off as a youth-obsessed cougar who’s fixated on boy toys and cares more about her looks than her career,” says a source to The ENQUIRER.
“But Demi couldn’t have asked for a better gig,” admitted an insider, noting the hip-hop drama that kicks off a new season March 22 has lots of buzz. “’Empire’ is a hot show with a younger demographic. This is the big break she’s been looking for to rehab her ailing career.”
