A Mississippi Mother who was jailed for shooting her 12-year-old daughter has asked the court for leniency — because she’s pregnant again!
Cynthia Skipper revealed during her appeal to judge Hyde Carby that she was four months along in her pregnancy, which she claimed is ‘high-risk’— hoping he would reduce her jail time. Carby had set a $500,000 bond at Skipper’s arraignment hearing.
During a home altercation which appears to have been fueled by alcohol, Skipper reportedly fired a gunshot at her daughter — who was sitting in a recliner — from behind! The bullet pierced the back of the chair and struck her in the shoulder, exploding into fragments.
The girl was airlifted to a local hospital where it was determined she would not need surgery, as her wound was not life-threatening.
The local Sheriff’s Office announced that Skipper was to be taken for a pregnancy test at a nearby medical center to verify her claims and remains in custody.
