In a scene straight out of “Jaws” and “Sharknado,”  a California kayaker was attacked by a great white shark — and miraculously lived to tell his tale!

Brian Correiar was paddling in his 14-foot kayak through Monterey Bay when the shark suddenly attacked him — launching him into the water.

A bystander started filming the incident from the shoreline as soon as Correiar was almost knocked from his kayak, while another witness is heard asking his wife to call 911.

In the footage, the shark attacked the red kayak — dangerously close to where Correiar was desperately trying to swim away. Moments later, the shark was thrashing around right in the area where Correiar was left helpless in the water!

Secret Terror Of Jaws!

Amazingly, the distressed certified diver spotted a sailboat in the area and frantically tried to get its attention — while the shark began swimming underneath him! The family in the sailboat immediately sped over and pulled him aboard to safety.

Correiar later recalled hearing a loud banging sound right before the kayak was launched into the air and almost knocking him out of it. All he could see at that point was the shark’s head — with its jaws sunken into the end of the kayak!

He had even attempted to call the Coast Guard for help using his emergency GPS before trying to swim away, but said they had trouble hearing him.

“It was like a horror movie,” said Correiar. “The shark came toward me, dropped the kayak, then dove straight down below me where I couldn’t see it.”
