Wendy Williams Angrily Denies Fan’s Attempt to Hug Her

Troubled TV personality rejects excited fan with a terrifying look on her face!

Wendy Williams isn’t in a touchy-feely mood. The sobriety-challenged TV personality has made headlines yet again after rudely denying a fan who was trying to hug the talk show host during a taping of The Wendy Williams Show.

In a video clip above, obtained by The National ENQUIRER, Wendy, 54, can be seen with a disgusted look on her face after an excited eagerly fan runs up to her to give her a hug after winning a prize in the stands.

When the fan ran up to claim her prize from Wendy and go in for the hud, Wendy quickly barked: “No hugging!”

Wendy’s snippy attitude came just a few days after she was reportedly hospitalized for relapsing on booze on Monday, March 25! “She was in a bad way and disappeared from the studio after her show Monday. She went back to the sober house only to check herself out and decided to start drinking,” a source told Daily Mail of the 54-year-old mess. “It’s not clear where she went but she headed in the direction of her home in Jersey and managed to find alcohol along the way.”

“Word got back to the studio and there was panic and concern, everyone was looking for her, no one knew whether there would be a show today,” the insider added. “She was eventually found and was drunk, she was immediately taken to the hospital.” She was allegedly given a bag of fluids to sober up before she had to appear back on the small screen on Tuesday, March 26.

As ENQUIRER readers know, just one week before that, on March 19, Wendy revealed to fans that she has been living in a sober house. “Well, for some time now and even today and beyond I have been living in a sober house,” she confessed. “When you see me come to work, glammed up, right after the show I go across the street, I do my pilates. I told you, two hours a day or like to take care of my body. And you know I’ve had a struggle with cocaine in my past. I never went to a place to get the treatment. I don’t know how, except God was sitting on my shoulder and I just stopped.”

She continued, “I want you to know more of the story. So, this is my autobiographical story, and I’m living it. I’m telling you this. After I go to the pilates, I go to several meetings all around town in the tri-state area. And I see my brothers and sisters caught up in their addiction and looking for help. They don’t know I’m Wendy. They don’t care I’m Wendy. There’s no autographs, there is no nothing. It’s the brothers and sisters caught up in the struggle. It’s been really interesting. This ride. Only Kevin and Kevin have known about this. Not my parents, nobody. Nobody knew.”

While Wendy has been open about her recovery process following her three-month mystery disappearance, she has not addressed her alleged relapse — or why she’s reportedly so mean to fans and the staff.
