An accused car thief tried to flee from police — and ran himself down on the streets of Pasco, Wash.!
Cops say that Brandon E. Arrieta had stolen a silver Toyota Camry that he then crashed on a nearby street.
The police report says that officers responded to a call about the accident, and found Arrieta pulling away and driving on a flat tire.
Arrieta, 20, kept driving even after the tire fell off the front wheel — and then panicked and tried to make a run for it.
But, as seen in the dashcam video above, Arrieta ran the wrong way, and ended up being dragged a short distance by the vehicle.
Fortunately, the panicked suspected thief didn’t end up giving himself a death sentence — and was taken to Franklin County Jail on charges of vehicle theft and (attempted) eluding.
