An argument over dog poop has led to two people getting shot, the Louisville Courier Journal in Kentucky reports.
Louisville police told the paper that a woman was shot in the face and a man was shot several times on the afternoon of Friday, April 26, after they got into an argument with Glenn Gholar Jr., who allegedly shot the victims. The cause of the violent act? “Canine fecal matter in their apartment yard,” the Courier reports, citing the arrest citation.
The 38-year-old man allegedly hightailed his way in a car from the scene of the crime, per the citation, but was quickly caught by police with the gun “in plain view in the vehicle.”
Gholar was arrested and charged with two counts of first-degree assault. Per the Courier, he was booked into Louisville Metro Corrections and is being held on $100,000 full cash bond. According to the Associated Press, he was still behind bars as of Sunday evening.
The Courier reports that the two victims are in serious condition, but should survive their injuries.
Gholar has pleaded not guilty. A hearing is set for May 7.
