Miserable Angelina Jolie has slumped into terrified helplessness, spies claimed, after realizing her children are fleeing the nest and she’ll soon be completely alone!
Only days after it was announced that eldest son Maddox, 18, will be studying biochemistry at a college in Seoul, South Korea, the Maleficent witch was seen ashen-faced as she was driven home alone from a Malibu restaurant.
Moles said her mood swings are sparked by having to come to terms with Maddox leaving and the rest of her brood — Pax, 15, Zahara, 14, Shiloh, 13, and 11-year-old twins Vivienne and Knox — growing closer to their dad, Brad Pitt.
“It won’t be long before Pax follows Maddox into college, then Zahara will be gone, and Shiloh is highly likely to move in with Brad full-time at some point,” spilled an insider.
“That’ll leave her alone with the twins, who are also spending more and more time with Brad.
“There’s nothing she can do about this, and it’s left her crippled with anxiety!”
The loss of Maddox will have the biggest impact on Angelina, 44, as they share a deep maternal bond, according to religious elders at the Cambodian Buddhist Temple in Long Beach, Calif., which the family has visited since 2017.
Sivon Nuth, a nun at the temple, told The National ENQUIRER that Maddox is “closest with her out of all the children.”
Angelina adopted Maddox in Cambodia when he was a baby and named her charity there the Maddox Jolie-Pitt Foundation after him.
It is thought that he enrolled at Yonsei University because the facilities and courses are more advanced than in Cambodia.
Sivon added: “He should come back to the temple before he goes, to pray with us.”
Another source claimed Maddox is eager to begin a life of his own, out of the shadow of his famous parents.
“In Seoul he can be pretty anonymous,” snitched the mole. “He knows his mom is going to be heartbroken the second he leaves the nest … but it’s time!”
Angelina did not respond to our request for comment.
