Paula Faris is out at “The View” — after The National ENQUIRER revealed that Whoopi Goldberg had targeted the newswoman as dead weight! Sources told The ENQUIRER in June 2016 that both Paula and doomed panelist Raven-Symoné had made Whoopi’s hit list. Just two months later, Paula went from being a daily presence to appearing just one day a week. Paula’s now making a graceful exit while saying, “I’m excited to get my life back.” But insiders say that Paula learned what “The View” was like “with Queen Whoopi at the helm!”

Insiders said that ABC brass are convinced that Whoopi is keeping their morning show afloat, and that “they’ll do anything to keep her happy.” That reportedly included
letting Whoopi build her own panel — first ditching comedian Michelle Collins, followed by
Raven-Symoné. Sources said that respected newswoman Paula, however, had managed to keep her once-a-week status as part of her weekend deal anchoring “Good Morning America.”

Paula is staying with the ABC news division, though — and now has her Fridays freed up after years of keeping up appearances on “The View.” Whoopi is reportedly relieved, as well, with insiders saying that Paula “didn’t test well with focus groups,” and adding that she was “even more hated than
Elisabeth Hasselbeck was!”
