Tupac Shakur's brutal death was a fatal mistake — as murderous music mogul
Marion “Suge” Knight finally reveals that he was the real target of the 1996 drive-by shooting that killed the legendary rapper!
Knight — now doing time for a fatal 2015 hit-and-run — has claimed that his ex-wife Sharitha and his former security chief Reggie Wright Jr. “were behind the murder of Tupac.” Knight, who’d feuded with his ex-wife, says the killers were really aiming at him in Las Vegas on the fateful night of Sept. 7, 1996.

The late LAPD detective Russell Poole also claimed Sharitha had a motive for murder, saying: “Suge wasn’t divorced yet, and if he died in that hit, she’d get most of everything.” The new documentary "Tupac Assassination: Battle for Compton" reportedly inspired Knight to tell his lawyer “the theories in the movie were true.”
Tupac was rushed to nearby University Medical Center after the horrific shooting. Clark County Coroner Investigator Ed Brown came to the hospital at 4:15 p.m., writing: "Upon my arrival ... I found no apparent life signs, and trauma was observed to the right hand, right hip and right chest under the right arm, apparently caused from gunshots."
Wright has responded to Knight by saying that attempts to implicate him in Tupac's murder are “bullcrap.” R.J. Bond, who directed the documentary, insists that Knight's new claims support his movie's charges that enemies have
been out to kill the music mogul for years. Said a film rep: “The hope is Knight’s confirmation of the story laid out in the film may put a final stamp to close this mystery after 20 years.”
