Sinead O'Connor once again made news over another attempted suicide — and disappeared for several hours before finally declaring the whole event a hoax! The troubled singer had friends and fans panicking in November 2015 over social media posts about killing herself. Then it happened again this past May — and then Chicago police were once again put on alert to find the "Nothing Compares 2 U" singer!

Chicago police were alerted to look out for Sinead in her adopted home city after authorities supposedly were alerted by police in Ireland that she had called cops in her homeland and said: "I'm on a bridge in Chicago and I'm going to jump!"

Sadly, Chicago cops had reason to believe that claim after the earlier suicide threats — plus Sinead's other recent weird antics, including publicly charging Arsenio Hall with being Prince's drug dealer!

Sinead, 49, finally emerged with a Facebook post several hours after the Chicago PD got the call — to celebrate Britain voting to leave the European Union before adding a personal note: "It's bullsh*t I jumped off a bridge," she wrote. "Some stupid bitch up at {Irish police station] Swords Garda station decided she'd like to throw a bit of false and malicious gossip about, is all."

The singer added that she was far from any suicidal thoughts — as she celebrated Britain's departure from the EU as a victory for Irish independence: "AM FAR TOO F**KING HAPPY FOR THAT!!"
