That's not news to readers of
The National ENQUIRER, though — with reporters catching Art trashing his old partner last summer! "I don't want to say any anti-Paul things," the singer declared, before launching into a tirade!
Art seemed especially angry about Paul's decision to go solo at the height of the duo's career. "How can you walk away from this lucky spot at the top of the world, Paul?" he ranted while imagining a talk with his former friend. "How could you let that go, jerk?"
Simon & Garfunkel had continued to cash in on reunion tours over the years, though — with an insider telling The ENQUIRER: "They weren't even talking while playing concert halls during their last tour in 2010. You couldn't even get them to be in the same room with each other!"

Art admitted that the 1970 breakup was traumatic, and that he had even panicked and taken a job teaching math right after the end of the duo's recording career.
"I would talk [my students] through a math problem and ask if anyone had any questions," he recalled, "and they would say, 'What were the Beatles like?'”
Art also said that Paul was probably driven to succeed as a solo act to make up for his short stature — even noting that they became pals as children because he felt sorry for his diminutive classmate: "“And that compensation gesture has created a monster!"
