"Revenge of the Nerds" star Robert Carradine tried to get revenge on his wife by driving their car into the path of a truck — according to his estranged wife Edith, who says the star confessed that he wanted "to kill us both!"

The National ENQUIRER reported on the horrific car crash in Colorado in March 2015 — but, in a tragic twist, Edith now claims that "confessed to me and our two children that he deliberately drove into the truck to kill us both." She also says that her husband has been overwhelmed by depression since the bizarre death of his brother David Carradine in 2009.

Edith recalls the terrifying crash in the court claims, saying that when her husband "suddenly veered across the highway and into the full sized semi-truck, he did so on purpose." The ENQUIRER earlier revealed that Robert was asking for spousal support in the divorce — but the court documents show that Edith is also complaining to be broke, and is asking to be given ownership of Robert's guitar collection to sell. Edith is also requesting that Robert hand over his extensive gun collection, fearing the star is still determined to take his own life. Although the divorce papers citing "irreconcilable differences" were filed in November 2015, sources told The ENQUIRER that the couple had separated in July of that year.
