Marie Osmond is asking for prayers as the Osmonds face a new crisis together — as older brother Tom fights to recover from quadruple bypass heart surgery. Marie, her brother Donny, and her performing siblings have always praised Tom as a family inspiration. Like their oldest brother George, Tom was born deaf. “Can you imagine being born into a family of singers?” said Marie. “I was always amazed by their strength.” But, added Marie, Tom is now “on life-support [and] his doctor is not sure how he will do in his recovery.”

Marie was also heartbroken when
her son Michael committed suicide in 2010 by jumping from his apartment building. The family has also lost an estimated $100 million over the years through bad investments and embezzlements while trusting in scam artists.

decades of turmoil has now left the siblings out of touch. Jimmy Osmond — who found fame as the "baby" of the family in the '70s — had admitted: "We don't get together much anymore!"
