Oscar Pistorius, who found fame using prosthetic legs to become a champion runner, was convicted in October 2014 for the shooting death of his model girlfriend Reeva Steenkamp — and revealed the deadly details of her murder in a television interview! “Oscar Pistorius: The Interview” showed the disgraced athlete breaking down while telling his version of the fatal Valentine’s Day massacre in 2013. It was the latest gruesome twist in a trial that had already seen Reeva Steenkamp’s parents bravely choosing graphic crime-scene photos of their dead daughter, and asking that they be released to show the extent of Oscar’s deadly actions as he joined the ranks of celebrities in prison…

"I did take Reeva's life and I have to live with that," said Pistorius. "I can smell the blood. I can feel the warmness of it on my hands. And to know that that's your fault, that that's what you've done — and I understand the pain people feel, that loved her and miss her. I feel that same pain. I feel that same hate for myself!"

Pistorius' interview continues his claims that he believed Reeva was an intruder when he fired four shots into a closed bathroom in their house at 3 a.m. The blonde beauty would die cowering behind a toilet. Pistorius notes that he was hobbling on his misshapen legs when he jumped out of bed after hearing a "sliding noise of the window frame hitting the frame" in the "pitch black" house.

The athlete said that he believed Reeva was still in bed. "And I'm scared," explained Pistorius. "I'm terrified, and I get my firearm, and I say to Reeva, I said, 'Call the police and get down on the floor. Call the police and get down on the floor.' But I'm still whispering at this stage."

"The first thing was thinking that I need to grab my firearm," he said. "Basically on one of my hands, both my stumps and pointing the firearm. So I'm low down and I'm starting to shake and sweating and become..overcome with fear."

"I start shouting and I start screaming, 'Get the f*ck out of my house,"said Pistorius — adding that he knew at this point that a person was in the bathroom: "I can see the toilet door. I don't know if it's one person. All I know is there's somebody in my house — and all of a sudden I hear a noise at the toilet. I presumed it was the toilet door opening, and, before I knew it, I'd fired four shots."

Pistorius then insisted that he'd rushed back to get Reeva — and then spent precious minutes fumbling in the dark and realizing that she wasn't in the bedroom. He claims that he then rushed back to the locked bathroom and smashed in the door to find Reeva's body.

"I opened the toilet door and, immediately, when I saw Reeva, she was over the toilet. She's .. she'd slumped over the toilet," said Pistorius. "And I...at that point, I knew that I'd killed her. I knew that she was dead. And I went down on my knees and pulled her onto me."

"I just see blood," said Pistorius, "and it's
just blood everywhere. It's just blood everywhere... So much blood. And I don't know what to do. I try and pick her up. I'm trying to pick her up but there's so much blood I can't stand up. And I thought Reeva had started breathing, so I had my fingers in her mouth and I was trying to give her mouth-to-mouth, but there was so much blood."

The interview may not persuade doubters who question Pistorius' claim that he was "too scared" to turn on the lights when he went to examine the noise late at night. There has also been much mocking of how Pistorius didn't check to see if Reeva was at his side when he was first awakened.

Pistorius ended up raising more suspicions with the interview — after a psychologist recently told the South African court that Pistorius was too "anxious and depressed" to actually testify during the new sentencing trial, with the athlete ultimately being sentenced to 13 years and five months in prison!
