Natalee Holloway Figure Killed In Attempted Kidnapping

A man who claimed to help hide the body of high-school student Natalee Holloway in Aruba has met a violent end — while attempting to kidnap another woman in Florida!

John Christopher Ludwick, 32, was stabbed to death in Sarasota on March 13 as he attempted to force a woman out of her car. A police spokesperson said that the woman was a former roommate who had rejected Ludwick's romantic overtures. The planned victim wrestled a knife away from Ludwick, stabbing him in the abdomen. "He was found nearby suffering from the stab wounds," said the police rep.

The police also confirmed that Ludwick was "pronounced dead at a local hospital" — putting an end to the would-be kidnapper's life after he claimed to have helped Joran van der Sloot (pictured) hide Natalee's body in 2006. That was one year after the Alabama high-school student had been reported missing on a senior trip.

A roommate had gone to the authorities after Ludwick had moved to Florida and boasted of his alleged "role" in Natalee's disappearance. Authorities, however, decided there was no substance to Ludwick's claims. "We are aware of Mr Ludwick's history and comments surrounding the disappearance of Natalee Ann Holloway," said a North Port Police Department spokesperson. "The correct authorities who are working that case have been notified."
