Michael Strahan was caught catching the latest news in The National ENQUIRER — where reporters have been told that his former co-host Kelly Ripa has taken command on the “LIVE with Kelly” set! The "Good Morning America" host could've gotten the scoop on how the show's doing without him!

Insiders said that the Kelly is determined to never again be blindsided like she was by Michael’s sudden departure, and has stepped up to run every aspect of “LIVE" — making decisions about everything from guests to the show’s comedy sketches.

Reps for “Live with Kelly” concede that the hosts “always have had major input” in the show, and added that Kelly (seen here with husband Mark Consuelos) hasn't become some kind of control freak. The ENQUIRER’s spies dished that the show's biggest star just has plenty of motivation!

"Kelly needs to be back on top," an insider said, "and if she has to run things to make that happen, so be it!”
