This isn’t exactly royalty. Meghan Markle’s estranged half-brother, Thomas Markle Jr., appeared in court on Wednesday, February 6, after being arrested and charged for a DUI in January near his Oregon home.
Police put the Duchess’ sibling in cuffs last month after he appeared “visibly intoxicated” while operating a vehicle on January 11.

After the incident, Thomas apologized to his royal sister — and put the blame on his fiancee Darlene Blount! “We were in a bar and Darlene refused to stop playing the slots. I wanted to go home as it was late but she didn’t,” he said at the time, according to
The Mirror. “When we finally got in the car, she was furious and the row just continued from there.”

“When we got home all hell broke loose. I didn’t want things to escalate so I packed up my things, put them in my truck and left.” Thomas continued.

"When the police pulled me over I said I was in agonizing pain with my leg. The officer demonstrated how he wanted me to walk in a straight line,” he said. “I told them there was no way I could. He then arrested me.”

Thomas Jr.’s arrest came just two months after he and his fiancee vowed to quit drinking. “We want to be together but we need to quit drinking,” Thomas said after the arrest. "I am genuinely sorry for the shame this has brought on my family and I hope they, as well as Meghan, can forgive me.”

Prior to his arrest, Thomas revealed he’s set to say “I do” in March — and he’s planning on inviting his sis to the big day. "I think our wedding will bring the family closer together,” he said. "It's hopeful that if Meghan and Harry came and my father — Meghan and Harry could spend some time together with him and that would be good.”
It seems Thomas Jr. is turning a blind eye to the fact that he’s mortified the pregnant royal with his arrest…again...
