Meghan Markle plans to become the first royal to adopt a child from an impoverished country as she thinks it will see her crowned “the new Princess Diana.”
The heavily pregnant Duchess has secretly decided to impose a two-child limit on Prince Harry as she feels large families are environmentally unfriendly.
Instead, she feels adoption helps the planet and is desperate to follow in the footsteps of Madonna — who has four adopted children — and Angelina Jolie, who adopted three of her six kids from Cambodia, Ethiopia and Vietnam.

A source said: “Meghan has always been obsessed with Princess Diana and has been on a quest to be seen as ‘Diana 2.0’ for some time.
“Her bold charity stunts such as writing self-help messages for sex workers on bananas and her interest in feminism show she is desperate to be seen as some kind of modern version of Di.
“She also thinks Madonna and Angelina Jolie are pioneering feminists and has told her closest friends she would love to follow their lead by adopting and give disadvantaged kids a great life."

But the source said Meghan’s plan could backfire as it will “alienate senior royals and be laughed off by aides.”
They added: “This is another in a long line of plans Meghan has to shake up the royal family and be seen as ‘modern.’
“But she’s trying a bit too hard to shake up a centuries-old institution, and planning to adopt a Third World child into it as if she is some Hollywood star will alienate traditionalists even more.”
