Meg Ryan Gives Up Dating — But Not Plastic Surgery

Meg Ryan has announced that she's given up men after breaking up with rocker boyfriend John Mellencamp, who moved on to supermodel Christie Brinkley. "I'm on a little break," Meg said, adding: "I'm [in love] with my life right now in a way that I adore." But The National ENQUIRER caught Meg in Manhattan looking like she's seeing a plastic surgeon!

The ENQUIRER reported last summer on how Meg's shocking new appearance had both fans and doctors worrying that the 54-year-old star had gone too far.

"Someone erased her delightful, wholesome girl-next-door look and replaced it with a weird caricature," said noted cosmetic surgeon Lyle M. Back, who hasn't treated the star. "It looks like she's had multiple laser resurfacings — as well as way too much Botox and heavily pumped filler, especially in her overstuffed cheeks."

The ENQUIRER also revealed last October that Meg's vanity had proven disastrous for her directorial debut with the WWII drama "Ithaca." The movie couldn't get a major release despite her starring role and a cameo from  old screen partner Tom Hanks. "The movie's nothing special to begin with," said a critic who attended Meg's screening (pictured) at the Savannah Film Festival. "But it was worse whenever Meg was on screen looking like she'd just been to a plastic surgeon in 2015!"

Meg doesn't even have new projects filming at the moment — but she may not mind, either, as she seemingly continues to put an emphasis on looking young over being an actress!
