Diaz had worked for the notorious Florida-based Mafia boss Santo Trafficante Jr. in Cuba and murdered a local police chief on mob orders. He also committed 40 other contract killings, the documents reveal. But the Dallas shooting was ordered by Cuban strongman Fidel Castro to settle the score for the bungled CIA-backed Bay of Pigs invasion on April 17, 196 — along with several American plots to assassinate him.

Known for his cold-blooded "wet work," expert marksman Diaz was hand-picked by Castro for the job, sources told the FBI. Diaz was secretly spirited into America and was waiting for JFK's motorcade on that fatal morning 53 years ago, the documents show.

As the President's limo drove past the grassy knoll, Diaz — hidden in bushes — fired three times with a high-powered rifle provided to him by local Cuban agents. He shot JFK once in the throat before administering the coup de grâce with a special explosive bullet to his head! A top-secret autopsy on Kennedy's corpse details the massive damage done to his skull by the "high-powered projectile designed to expand and detonate on contact," the autopsy reveals.

Diaz used the chaos he'd created to steal away from Dealey Plaza. The newly discovered papers show Diaz buried his weapon, made his way to the Dallas bus station and boarded a Greyhound for New Orleans. There, pro-Castro activists helped him get to city docks. He slipped aboard a trawler and eventually made his way to Cuba.

Oswald, meanwhile, was arrested in a Dallas movie theater as part of a set up masterminded by Cuba's top intelligence officers. Oswald, who once defected to the Soviet Union, was known for his pro-Cuban campaign in the Big Easy. He was dispatched to Dallas by his Russian handlers, who worked with their Cuban allies and mobster.

While in police custody, Oswald never admitted to killing Kennedy. He insisted he'd been set up and played for a "patsy" — which the documents show is the truth. Oswald was then killed Nov. 24 as he was being moved from the Dallas police station.

Oswald never got his day in court — and Diaz got away scot-free. But Diaz later confirmed to a pal he killed JFK on Castro's orders, the documents reveal. Hired by anti-Castro forces to help in a raid in Cuba in 1966, double-dealing Diaz told a comrade about his part in the assassination as they headed toward their target. Diaz was killed in the raid.

Diaz's role in the assassination conspiracy remained hidden until just recently when the FBI report — and Cuban documents newly obtained by the CIA — show without a doubt he was the man who killed JFK!
