jogger serial killer 1
Three beautiful brunettes have been slashed to death in brutal murders — and authorities are terrified that it's the work of a tri-state maniac! All of the dead women were joggers, and all have been savagely beaten with their bodies defiled over the course of one homicidal summer!
Ally Brueger 1
Ally Brueger was gunned down while jogging along a rural road in Oakland County, Mich., on July 30. The registered nurse wasn't tortured, but her sick assassin left the 31-year-old nursing assistant to die alone in the blazing sun. The brave woman almost lived long enough to identify her attacker as she crawled onto the porch of a nearby home.

Sadly, Ally died after the terrified resident called 911. The cops don't believe that she was chosen at random — and originally pursued the case believing that the doomed girl knew her victim. The Michigan State Police have put out an alert for "a white or light-colored four-door vehicle" seen on the day of the attack.

Karina Vetrano 1
Ally's death didn't even make the national news — but that changed on Aug. 2, when Karina Vetrano was raped and murdered while jogging in Howard Beach, NY. She had been running along a dirt path that, as neighbors complained, "was mostly hidden by weeds that nobody would ever cut back." Her father discovered her battered body. Karina's teeth were shattered, with authorities saying she'd "put up a good fight" while being strangled.

DNA was taken at the crime scene, but the samples didn't match any known criminals in the database. NYPD Chief of Detectives Robert Boyce declared that Karina's death represented a "severe community threat," with authorities once again reluctant to dismiss the murder as a random attack.

Missing Woman
Just days later, Vanessa Marcotte, a beautiful young woman from New York City, disappeared while visiting her mother in Massachusetts. The 27-year-old had gone out jogging on Aug. 7 — and her body was later found a half-mile from her mother's home. As with Karina Vetrano, the victim had been sexually assaulted. In a horrific twist, her body had also been set on fire.

Vanessa's body was naked, and an autopsy revealed that she had died from the burns inflicted on her hands, feet and head. Once again, authorities couldn't dismiss the sickening murder as a random act of homicide — especially with the brutal death of Karina Vetrano still making headlines in New York!

All three of the women died in areas that weren't considered to be dangerous. Vanessa and Karina met their end in locations that are a short three-hour drive from each other. Other female joggers aren't waiting for authorities to make a connection. Sporting goods stores have seen an increase in sales of pepper spray designed for women runners on the East Coast. "We're getting together in groups now," said one runner. "These murders all happened in daylight, and nobody's ashamed of being frightened!"
