In fact, Jenny revealed she changed her outfits at least 50 times during the one season she appeared on The View! However, she specifically remembered one incident in which Barb (the show’s creator) apparently harassed her over a dress she wore on a cold day.

“What the hell are you wearing?” Barbara, 89, apparently asked Jenny about her outfit. “Mind you, she doesn’t look at anyone’s clothes but mine,” Jenny noted. “I’d go ‘Barbara, you’re wearing your own clothes.’”
Jenny said she told Barbara, “Stores right now have the spring collection. There’s nothing I can do.”

But twisted Barb couldn’t help but play the grandma card — and scolded Jenny for her look! “Change!” she screamed at her, Jenny wrote. “There were times when she’d say change, and she’d make people run out and get that dress in her size. I was a human Barbie doll.”

It got so bad that she was avoiding Barbara! “When I’d hear the shuffle of her feet, I knew that Barbara was after me,” Jenny recalled. “It would get faster. Oh my God — she’s coming! Based on the speed of the shuffle, I would hide or get on the phone.”

“I’ve never seen a woman yell like that before until I worked with Barbara Walters,” she added. “I was going to work crying. I couldn’t be myself,” Jenny confessed. “My fans were telling me, ‘Where’s Jenny? They aren’t letting you be you.’”
Jenny lasted one season on The View. Barbara lasted 17 — from 1997 until 2014, the same year that Jenny left.
