Jennifer Lopez Dumps Her Boy-Toy — After A Proposal!

Jennifer Lopez and boy-toy Casper Smart have broken up — putting an actual end to the relationship with an 18-year age difference! J.Lo had moved right on to Casper after her split from husband Marc Anthony, with the couple hooking up as early as 2011. That included a humiliating stint where Casper had to stay off to the side while Jennifer "dated" actor Ryan Guzman to promote their 2015 thriller "The Boy Next Door."

Insiders weren't surprised when Jennifer and Ryan (pictured) quickly went cold after the movie opened to underwhelming box office. The National ENQUIRER, however, had the scoop that Jennifer, 47, wasn't too excited about getting back with Casper. Sources said that the deluded dancer came on too strong when they returned to dating earlier this year, with J.Lo saying no to a marriage proposal on Valentine's Day.

Casper “basically proposed marriage,” said one pal about the cringe-worthy campaign of puppy love that went on for hours and hours on Feb. 14. “He set up a whole Valentine’s Day romantic approach. He told friends he 'had a huge surprise for her, and was going to show her what a real man does for a woman he loves.'"

The ill-fated holiday kicked off with four dozen red roses accompanied by “a love note professing his respect, love and adoration for her,” the source said. Casper then texted Jennifer a cartoon picture of an engagement ring and followed up with a call that J.Lo didn’t answer — before she called him back to thank him for the flowers, at which point he asked for her hand in marriage!

But Jen, who had already once Casper after he allegedly cheated with two transsexuals, “shot him right down.” That big chill didn't warm up over the summer — leading to the couple finally coming to a close as J.Lo concentrates on her "Shades of Blue" TV series. “Jen never had any intention of marrying Casper,” said the astonished buddy. “If there’s another marriage for her, it will be a smart one!”
