As revealed by The National ENQUIRER, Jennifer almost ended her doomed marriage to Justin before it even started when she caught him carrying on with his ex-girlfriend Heidi Bivens. Justin had lived with Heidi in NYC for 14 years before dumping her for the former "Friends" star after sparks flew on the set of the big-screen bomb "Wanderlust." Things were getting serious in 2012 when Jennifer found out that Justin and Heidi were secretly staying in touch!

For months, confirmed an insider, Justin, 40, had been "calling, texting and e-mailing Heidi without Jen's knowledge. Another pal added that Jen had no idea until she caught Justin texting Heidi from the Hollywood home that they had just started to share: "In Jennifer's book, what Justin did was cheating. He was going behind her back to maintain ties with his ex. She was furious and read him the riot act!"

One close pal warned at the time that Justin wasn't happy with Jennifer insisting that the couple settle down in Los Angeles: "Jen blamed the paparazzi in New York, but there's even more of them in L.A.. The real reason she moved was because she wants Justin as far away from Heidi as possible." But the move still couldn't keep her from having another meltdown over Heidi just nine months after their wedding!

“Jen had been suspicious that Justin was communicating with Heidi,” whispered a spy in 2016, adding that Jen had stolen away with her husband's phone after noticing an unfamiliar New York City number — and confirmed it was Heidi's! “Jen confronted Justin. She broke down in tears and demanded that he cut off communication with Heidi immediately Justin tried to apologize and made a few lame excuses about he and Heidi having mutual friends.”

Heidi's own sister confirmed to The ENQUIRER that Justin and his ex were staying on good terms. “My sister’s doing fantastic,” said Heather Bivens. “Nothing’s bad between [Heidi and Justin]. It’s just that she is a very private person. She hasn’t wanted to talk publicly about it.” Justin's friends, meanwhile, had sympathy for their pal!
