The troubling statement doesn't just suggest that Lynch and the Clintons had arranged a deal to protect the former First Lady's presidential run. The two had also discussed an "insurance policy" if Trump was elected President, with both Strzok and Page later being involved in Mueller's investigation of Russian collusion during the President's 2016 campaign. But in a lucky break for the pair, the FBI announced that months of other communications between them had been lost — admitting the agency “failed to preserve” any texts between Dec. 14, 2016 and May 17, 2017.
