Glenn Close Celebrates The July 4th Holiday On The Beach

Glenn Close is hiding away from Hollywood for the 4th of July holiday — while being talked about a hot new role!

The National ENQUIRER caught the six-time Oscar nominee sunning herself in the Caribbean, where the 70-year-old star is a single gal again after divorcing third husband David Shaw in 2015. And the ENQUIRER's own Rob Shuter reported that Glenn could be resting up for a major role.

Glenn is reportedly the favorite of film producers to star in a movie about Hillary Clinton — who herself will turn 70 in October. “The film will focus on Hillary’s career later in life and through the election,” a tipster told Rob.

“Glenn and Meryl [Streep]’s names have been mentioned a lot,” the sourced added. “But after Streep inserted herself into politics at the Golden Globes, producers feel Close would be better!” Not that Glenn is shy about her own politics, having declared that President Trump “doesn’t stand for anything I believe in!”
