Top crime expert Dr. Michael Baden spoke out to The ENQUIRER about the fate of Stacy Peterson, saying he believes Peterson ghoulishly sawed her body into pieces in the bathtub before dumping the bloody debris. He also revealed the chilling find that suggests former policeman Peterson cleverly covered up the murder of Stacy, who disappeared on Oct. 28, 2007.

Baden was originally hired by Kathleen's family to perform a bombshell private autopsy on Peterson's doomed third wife. Peterson's ex had begged authorities for protection from her former husband before her body was found in an empty whirlpool-style tub at her home in March 2004. Results of an official autopsy were still pending when Baden declared Kathleen was murdered!

Even though Kathleen's corpse had fresh bruises and scrapes — and there was a cut on the back of her head — authorities ruled her death an accidental drowning. Peterson was ultimately convicted for Kathleen's murder in 2012, but still claims Stacy ran off with another man. Baden, however, has good reason to be suspicious!

Members of Stacy's family say there was a huge 55-gallon drum of chlorine in the garage — and a neighbor says she saw Peterson and another man loading a blue barrel into his SUV the day that 5'2" Stacy went missing. Baden noted the container could have a dual purpose, since the chlorine would be ideal for cleaning up after the grisly dismemberment of the body.

"Bathtubs are the most common place for dismemberments," explained Dr. Baden (pictured), "because most of the visible evidence can be washed away. But a crime lab technician can use special equipment to find traces of blood, tissue, fingernails, bone fragments or hair that might have gotten trapped in the home's plumbing system."

"The chlorine might have been used to flush the water in the bathtub plumbing," Baden added, "and Stacy might have ended up in the empty container!"
