James Comey made headlines in 2003 when he went after Martha in his role as the Manhattan U.S. Attorney, indicting her on charges of securities fraud and obstruction of justice.
Martha did five months in prison for selling her stock shares in the drug firm ImClone — after receiving illegal insider knowledge that the FDA was about to make an unfavorable ruling on a cancer drug.

Martha was further humiliated over reports that the head of ImClone was a former boyfriend. But now Trump has told reporters on Air Force One that she's on his short list for pardons — despite their feuding in the past over her hosting a spin-off of
his "Apprentice" reality show. They'd patched things up by 2013, with Trump declaring via Twitter: "Any guy would be lucky to be with her!"

The pardon would undo Comey's biggest success as a U.S. Attorney — and insiders don't believe that's a coincidence. In related news, Trump also declared that he was considering a pardon for
disgraced Illinois Gov. Rod Blagojevich.
