The emaciated singer was bundled away from a public speech in London this week after her mini-army of minders feared the stalker was among her crowd of adoring fans.
And the murder scare has led her bodyguards to tell her followers desperate for an autograph: “Dolly can’t stop on the street anymore – it’s too dangerous.”

A source said: “It was done quite subtly, but Dolly was moved on ahead of time over a security scare.
“She was not being allowed to stop on the streets of London to sign for fans out of fear her stalker would get her at a vulnerable point,” the insider continued. “Her fans have been saying her security are protecting her from a stalker out to knife her.”
“She had an increased security presence when she was in London with around 10 guards around her at all times. It’s a pity as Dolly loves her fans and it ruined her trip to the U.K.”

It’s thought the fan is based in London — which has been plagued by a spate of knife murders in recent months — but travels the world to see his idol.
Dolly — whose frail frame has sparked health worries for the veteran — is believed to be protected “from the worst” of her stalkers, but has been “made aware of the new danger,” according to our source.

They added: “It’s a bit like the start of The Bodyguard film – Dolly knows she is a potential target, but her team has decided to keep the grimmest threats she gets from stalkers from her for her own sanity.
“She is an aging woman at the end of the day who would end up a recluse if she saw all the nasty material aimed at her.”

Dolly was previously targeted by a stalker who named their baby Jolene after her global hit — before leaving the child in a box at the star’s home.

The singer also spoke this week of enduring decades of trolling over rumors she and lifetime best pal and personal assistant Judy Ogle is her lover – despite her recent renewal of her wedding vows to recluse husband Carl Dean, 76.
She compared her relationship with Judy to that enjoyed by Oprah Winfrey, 65, and her best friend Gayle King, 64, who have also been accused of
hiding a lesbian romance.
Dolly said: “I’m not gay but I have so many gay friends and I accept everybody for who they are.” She added, “People love to talk, people love to gossip."
