Naomie Harris — who's been playing Miss Moneypenny in the recent Bond films — said at the start of 2017: "I think there's a very good chance that Daniel will come back." Daniel had just already become the second longest-serving James Bond in the franchise history. He's had the role for over 11 years, which had him closing in on the late Roger Moore for Bond longevity. Sadly, he could be carrying on as Bond without his real-life wife!

“Rachel and Daniel haven’t been happy for a while, and nearly called it quits last year,” an insider told The ENQUIRER at the start of 2017. The couple hadn't been photographed together since December 2015, and the stars had been making movies in different countries. Rachel is currently filming “Disobedience” in London, while Daniel is on location with Halle Berry in Los Angeles for a film about the 1992 race riots.

“With the time difference and their focus on work commitments, no one would be surprised to learn they’ve split,” the insider said, adding: “Rachel wants to reignite her career this year, and Daniel’s heartbroken.” The actor hasn't been shy about admitting that he's tried to put family before career in the past. “Being on your own would be sad, sick and weird,” said Daniel. “I don’t trust myself. I need that balance.”
