Caitlyn Hits The Slopes While Blasted By Fellow Transsexuals
Caitlyn Jenner flew off in a private jet with her fellow trans-gal BFF Candis Cayne for some skiing in Mammoth Mountain, Calif. — and the "I Am Cait" star needed a place to cool off from the heat of upset transgender activists. The beloved Olympian formerly known as Bruce Jenner was interviewed in TIME magazine as part of their "Person of the Year" celebrations. Activists were furious at Caitlyn after she declared that it was important for transsexual women to look womanly!
"I think it's much easier for a trans woman or a trans man who authentically kind of looks and plays the role," said Caitlyn. "I try to take that seriously. I think it puts people at ease. If you're out there and, to be honest with you, if you look like a man in a dress, it makes people uncomfortable. So the first thing I try to do is present myself well. I want to dress well. I want to look good." Caitlyn also took that philosophy to the ski slopes, where the 6'2" beauty stood out in a white embroidered suit, with Candis in an all-black outfit.
Caitlyn was soon reminded that plenty of people in the transsexual community are easily offended, though. She was accused of spouting "normative nonsense." Angry activists declared that no trans person should ever care about "putting others at ease" or worrying about how they "'present' themselves to the world." Caitlyn was also attacked as a "self-absorbed" and "privileged" celebrity who doesn't know how to represent "trans women for whom life is a struggle."
Caitlyn quickly issued an apology on her website to all of her transgendered sisters (and brothers) who were offended, saying that she still has "so much to learn." She added that she's "tried to be a force for good," but said: "I guess it's true that there are some things that I have not gotten right." Flying around on a private jet isn't going to help Caitlyn's privileged reputation, but these ski pics show that she's still determined to show off a fine form!
