“She was the only one who stood to gain anything from my dad’s death!” said Robert Crane Jr., of the still-unsolved crime. “She inherited everything!” The sitcom star was 49 when he was savagely bludgeoned to death in a sleazy Scottsdale, Ariz., apartment on June 29, 1978.
An electrical cord was tied around his neck in what police described the grisly surroundings as “a passionate crime scene.” The prime suspect was Bob’s bisexual pal, John Henry Carpenter, whom the actor was set to ditch after years of cavorting in orgies together!
Carpenter was charged with murder in 1992, but was acquitted. Robert Jr. still remains convinced his stepmother (seen here with Crane and costar Robert Clary) killed his father!
Olson had played Bob’s love interest, Hilda, on the show under the stage name Sigrid Valdis. But they were headed for a bitter split, according to Robert Jr.!
Sadly, the charges made by Bob's bitter son will go uncontested, with Olson having died in 2007. She's buried beside Bob in Los Angeles — and she isn't the only suspect besides Carpenter in Crane's sordid death!
The insiders said that notorious criminal Dominic Brooklier had Crane whacked after the star
backed out from making a porn film! Bob's son, however, still blames his wickedly sexy stepmother. “This was CLEARLY a murder of passion,” he said. “There were vicious blows to the head. She would have the passion to do that!”
