Ben Stiller’s secret fling with Beverly Hills Housewife Brandi Glanville triggered the crash of his 17-year marriage to Christine Taylor, The National ENQUIRER can reveal!

Although the tryst came before "Zoolander" co-stars Ben and Christine tied the knot, sneaky Ben kept the sizzling sex secret — until he confessed on a talk show!

“It was short-lived and it was fun,” Ben told host Andy Cohen on "Watch What Happens Live." “I wouldn’t characterize it as a relationship. “It was a couple of dates and fun. I’m not sure my wife is even aware of that.” In fact, sources say Christine didn't know about his other woman — and she began to question what else he was holding back!

Ben’s admission put the final nail in the coffin of their shredded marriage. The couple announced their divorce late last month. “This whole Brandi thing pretty much detonated the split,” says a source. “The marriage has been plagued with problems over the past five years. But not telling her about such a low- rent fling was horrifying for Christine — especially since Brandi blabbed about the hook-up, too. It brought all their trust issues to the surface again.”

Sources say Ben— who has daughter Ella, 15, and son Quinlin, 11, with Christine — has been “acting like a jerk,” especially since his career has been in a tailspin after back-to-back movie flops. While he’s never been caught cheating, rumors keep circulating, especially since he has a taste for bringing sexy blond “chefs” on his film sets.

“Ben can be a very vain and selfish guy,” notes the insider. “He’s a real diva — angry, miserable, moody and impossible to reason with.” Now Christine has “finally had enough,” adds the source. “She’s put up with a lot over the years, but nothing compared to the last two.”
