Belgian authorities are looking for a second suspect who may have been involved in the attack that blew up a subway train in Brussels — a man who was captured on surveillance video talking to bomber Khalid El Bakraoui before he boarded the train at the Maalbeek station.

Brussels Terrorist Attacks Suspect
A nationwide manhunt has been underway since the twin bombings Tuesday for a third attacker at Brussels airport, who was seen wearing a white jacket and hat on security video with Khalid’s brother, Ibrahim El Bakraoui, and a man identified as Najim Laachraoui. Ibrahim and Laachraoui both died at the airport in suicide blasts. The third man fled without detonating his bomb.

RTBF, the Belgian state broadcaster, said it was not clear whether the man seen talking to Bakraoui at the train station was killed in the attack, but authorities want to know who he is.

Salah Abdeslam Arrested in a Raid in Brussels
Meanwhile, Salah Abdeslam, the suspected mastermind of the Nov. 13 Paris attacks that killed 130 people, has decided not to fight extradition from Belgium to France. He was nabbed in Brussels’ Molenbeek neighborhood (pictured) on March 18. He was shot in the leg, but is recovering.

Abdeslam appeared in court Thursday, and his lawyer, Sven Mary, said his client “wants to leave for France as quickly as possible.” Nevertheless, Sven asked for a one-month delay on any transfer while he studies the case file.

ISIS has claimed responsibility for Tuesday’s attacks, and law-enforcement authorities believe the same cell of the terror group was responsible for the Paris rampage. Officials suspect the terror cell launched this week’s attack because they feared Abdeslam was cooperating with police.
