The damage done to national security by Stanislav Yezhov is still being assessed by counterintelligence officials and may never be fully known, sources warned. “It’s a disaster!” one White House insider fumed to The ENQUIRER. “The man was in the room! Can you imagine the CIA getting someone next to Vladimir Putin? In the history of espionage, that sort of thing happens once in a generation — if at all!”

The scandal exploded after Yezhov was unmasked by Ukrainian spy hunters as a Russian mole busted for acting in cahoots with Moscow puppet masters pulling his strings from afar. He had acted as a senior interpreter for Ukraine’s current and former prime ministers — and was present as both leaders discussed vital secrets with other heads of state, including Vice President Joe Biden!

This bombshell photo shows Yezhov (in glasses) behind Ukrainian Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman as he meets with Biden in June 2016 at the White House. The spy was also part of a delegation last July that visited British Prime Minister Theresa May in Downing Street. The contents of those conversations, as well as others for which Yezhov was present, remain unknown — but a source speculated on their impact.

“Look, the war in eastern Ukraine is very much ongoing,” pointed out a military insider. “You have Russian troops rampaging around the nation. Ukrainian officials claims that Yezhov stole secrets and passed them on to his Russian handlers using electronic gadgets. Yezhov had worked for the enemy for at least two years, authorities said, and was charged with treason after his arrest in Kiev on Dec. 20. Anton Gerashchenko, an adviser to Ukraine’s interior minister, said: “He was recruited by the Russian special services during his work at the Ukrainian Embassy in Washington several years ago.”
