Even worst, Amal's health seems to be suffering as she insists on having a baby to save her troubled marriage to superstar George Clooney! “Amal knows unless she manages to get pregnant soon, the marriage is over,” an insider close to the star couple told The ENQUIRER.

“She’s been speaking with her OB/GYN about why she’s having trouble getting pregnant." the source added. “Her doc assured her she just needs more time with her husband — and less stress!”

The Beirut-born beauty, 38, could be partly losing weight over the stress of her strained marriage. Sources said that George and Amal's was a “marriage of arrangement,” and not a true love match for George. The 54-year-old A-lister “was tired of being referred to as the proverbial bachelor,” the spy said.

But now that Amal is nearing the big 4-0, she’s intent on starting a family. “She wanted to get pregnant ASAP because her clock’s ticking,” the source added. “George agreed, ‘told her he loves kids.’ She also said she wanted a real husband — not a ‘ship passing in the night.'"

“He swore he wanted the same things," dished the insider. "But ... he ‘lied, lied, lied, lied.’ Now, Amal is desperate for a tot — but George hasn’t been trying hard enough!"
