Soccer buff DREW CAREY, part owner of the Seattle Sounders, made a bighearted spur-of-the-moment gesture while attending the World Cup finals in South Africa – he had three standup-comedian pals flown in by private jet from LA to join him!
Drew and buddies BLAINE CAPATCH, DAVE ANTHONY and MARTY RACKHAM had a…er, ball at first, escorted everywhere by a five-man security detail – and when the games ended, Drew asked: “Where do you guys want to go next?”
The consensus was Amsterdam, so off they went by private jet – but no good deed goes unpunished: Instead of nights on the town, Drew – hit by an attack of food poisoning before they even landed – spent two miserable days at the hotel under a doctor’s care before jetting home.
