OTHER THAN THAT, HOW WAS THE PLAY, MRS. LINCOLN?

Oscar winner SALLY FIELD, starring as first lady MARY TODD LINCOLN in STEVEN SPIELBERG’s new “Lincoln” movie, went stark-raving ballistic during a key scene – a harrowing emotional disagreement with hubby ABE, played by DANIEL DAY-LEWIS – when a cell phone suddenly erupted: “RRrriiiingg… rrrriiiiinngg!”

Sally, cut off in mid-sentence, shrieked, “ARE YOU KIDDING ME!?”

Face twisted in rage, she demanded to know who was responsible – and a shame-faced young assistant finally stepped forward, admitting: “It was me…I’m so sorry!”

Sally railed that he’d been “unprofessional…rude,” and the guy clicked his phone to “Silent.”

As rattled Sally struggled to get back into character, the director warned everyone to silence their ringers – or  start looking for another job.
