STEVEN SPIELBERG TO GET HOLLYWOOD STAR

description

Congratulations are in order for Oscar-winning director Steven Spielberg, who will receive the first star of 2003 on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

According to Walk of Fame chairman Johnny Grant, the star will be dedicated on Friday outside of the Kodak Theater. Grant also added that this is the first time Spielberg has been available to receive a star.

“We’re just pleased that we finally got him,” said Grant. “He could have been approved 20 years ago.”

Among Spielberg’s best-known films are “Jaws,” “Raiders of the Lost Ark,” “E.T. The Extra-Terrestrial.” He won 2 Oscars for “Schindler’s List” — for directing and producing the film — and one Oscar for directing “Saving Private Ryan.”

More recent Spielberg films include “Minority Report” and “Catch Me If You Can.”
