Sean Hayes, Emmy-nominated actor on the sitcom “Will & Grace” helped a gunshot victim by taking off his shirt and holding it against the bullet wound until paramedics arrived.
According to Hayes’ publicist, Michelle Bega, Hayes was driving alone when he noticed the victim, Courtney Cunningham, in the street and pulled over to help.
“He called 911 on his cellular phone, alerted neighbors, took off his shirt and pressed it against the wound to stop bleeding,” said Bega. He then waited for paramedics and police to arrive, told them what was going on and left.
“I was cautious in approaching the man,” said Hayes. “I wasn’t certain what the circumstances might be and if there was danger of someone around.”
Cunningham was treated at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center for a leg wound and released.
