MAN GETS 10 YEARS IN LETTERMAN PLOT

description

The man who allegedly schemed to kidnap David Letterman‘s son and nanny and hold them for $5 million ransom has been sentenced to 10 years behind bars. Kelly Frank struck a plea bargain with prosecutors in July, agreeing to lesser charges that included overbilling Letterman for a job and illegally killing a mule deer on the Late Show host’s Montana property. On Monday he received a sentence of “10 years to the Montana state prison for embezzlement, six months to Teton County jail for obstructing a police officer and five years to the Montana state prison for illegally possessing wildlife,” said the prosecutor. “In addition, he was ordered to pay $9,500 in restitution to the state of Montana and Deep Creek Ranch LLC, which is wholly owned by David Letterman.”
