KELLY CLARKSON’S ADVICE TO NEW CROP OF CONTESTANTS

description

The winner of the first American Idol, Kelly Clarkson, has some advice for the new batch of contestants hoping to be the next American Idol: Be yourself.

Clarkson tells TV Guide in an interview: “It sounds so corny and cliched, but don’t be Britney. Don’t be Christina. Don’t be me.”

She also gives a few other tips: get plenty of rest, don’t let Simon’s remarks get to you, and be versatile.

Clarkson will appear live on the March 18 American Idol to debut the first single off of her upcoming CD. She says in the interview that she just recently found out that Aretha Franklin owns a copy of her much-publicized single “A Moment Like This,” and “I just dorked out,” she says.
