“Gonzo journalist” Hunter S. Thompson is getting his last wish. The late writer who committed suicide in February wanted his ashes shot out of a cannon. In August, the cannon shot will take place on the grounds of his home near Aspen, Colorado. The cannon will be a 53-foot-high sculpture of the journalist’s “gonzo fist” emblem.
