According to reports in the British publication The Sun, an ex-girlfriend of the artist once formerly known as Prince claims that the singer made her his love slave and told her to call him “Messiah.”
In court papers filed in Santa Monica, California, Charlene Friend alleges, “Prince informed me he took sexual relations very seriously. He believed he was the Messiah and if you engaged in sex with him, you became one with him.”
Friend also claims that she was repeatedly abused both physically and mentally at the hands of the singer, and that he videotaped their sex sessions without her permission.
“He said I belonged to him. He also demanded that I be on call for him,” Friend continues. “Prince threatened to have me killed after we broke up, saying no one else could have me. As a result of the severe abuse, I have suffered anxiety, depression and panic attacks.”
According to the report, Prince contends that the allegations by Friend are “totally false.”
