Supermodel Claudia Schiffer gave birth to her first child this week, with her film producer husband, Matthew Vaughn by her side.
The baby, a boy yet to be named, was delivered by Caesarean section on Thursday at a London hospital, weighing in at 7 lbs.
“Both parents are utterly thrilled at the birth of their first child and both mother and baby are doing very well,” said Schiffer’s spokeswoman in a statement.
The spokeswoman also added that Schiffer had hoped for a natural delivery, however doctors advised her to have the C-section, due to the foot injury she incurred after an accident in November.
