Actress and animal rights activist Brigitte Bardot took the occasion of the Danish Queen’s birthday to make another appeal to save the pilot whales. In an open letter to the monarch, Bardot detailed what she billed as the barbaric treatment of these creatures who breed off the Faeroe Islands.
