INSIDE THE POLICE FILES — HOW THE KARR CASE FELL APART

description

By DAVID WRIGHT and ALAN SMITH

In the days after John Mark Karr was arrested for the murder of JonBenet Ramsey, Boulder authorities desperately tried to build a case against him. But that case was filled with fatal flaws and The ENQUIRER has all the details.

The ENQUIRER has learned exclusively that cops were told Karr had an accomplice, after the 41-year-old pervert was brought back from Thailand and slapped behind bars in Boulder.

The ENQUIRER has also uncovered secret details about the sick e-mails that Karr sent to University of Colorado Professor Michael Tracey — e-mails that led to Karr’s arrest.

In the computer messages, Karr described in “very sick and convincing” detail how 6-year-old JonBenet died — including significant information about the sexual attack she suffered.

He also sent a strange photo in which the bottom half of JonBenet’s face was merged with the top half of the face of another little blonde girl, who Karr said was also dead.

Karr was also able to provide JonBenet’s pet name for her grandmother — something that shocked her father John Ramsey, who thought the name was unknown outside the family.

All of this information is contained in the cops’ secret files against Karr. But The ENQUIRER discovered why the information didn’t add up and doomed the case against Karr.
